Article on Road accidents

Road accidents

Introduction. Today my article is on road accidents, every day we see and hear about a lot of accidents. Who are the culprits behind these road accidents? Many deaths in the country are caused by these road accidents.
Many are losing a lot .. We see some being orphans, some losing limbs, and many being dismembered. The main reason for this is negligence. Why Bali another for the mistake one makes.

Road accident is a very undesirable thing for the road user, however, they happen very often. The most unfortunate thing is that we do not learn from our mistakes on the road. Most road users are well aware of the general rules and safety measures when using roads, but it is only the sensitivity of road users that causes accidents and crashes. The main cause of accidents and crashes is human error. We elaborate on some of the normal behaviors of humans that lead to danger.

1. Overspeeding
2. Drunken driving
3. Directions to the driver
4.Red jumping
5. Avoid safety gear such as seat belts and helmets
6. Lane driving and overtaking in the wrong manner

Various national and international researches have identified the common behavior of road drivers, which can lead to accidents.

Overspeeding:

More fatal accidents occur at higher speeds. Excellence is the natural mentality of human beings. Given a chance, man is sure to achieve infinity with speed. But when we share the road with other customers we are always behind some of the other vehicles. An increase in speed multiplies the risk at the time of the accident and the severity of the injury. Vehicles are more likely to be involved in an accident than a slower vehicle and the severity of the accident is higher in the case of faster vehicles. The higher the speed, the greater the risk. More distance is required to stop the vehicle at higher speeds, i.e. braking distance. A slow vehicle stops immediately but takes too long to stop fast and goes too far due to the law of concept. A vehicle traveling at high speed has a greater impact on the accident and therefore more injuries occur.

Drunk driving:

It is common to drink alcohol to celebrate any occasion. But when combined with driving it makes the celebration unfortunate. Alcohol reduces concentration. This shortens the reaction time of the human body. The brain takes more of the organs to respond to instructions. It can interfere with vision due to dizziness. Alcohol reduces fear and motivates humans to take risks. These factors can cause accidents while driving and many times prove to be fatal. For every increase of ration as 0.05 blood alcohol, the risk doubles. Many drugs, in addition to alcohol, also affect the skills and concentration required for driving. First of all, we recommend not drinking alcohol. If you feel that your merriment preparation is not complete without booze, do not drive under the influence of alcohol. Ask a teetotaler friend to leave you at home.

Driver distraction:

Although distraction while driving is minor it can lead to major accidents.

The distraction may be outside or inside the vehicle. Talking on a mobile phone while driving is now a big distraction. The action of talking on the phone occupies a major part of the brain and a small part maintains driving skills. This division of the brain impairs reaction time and judgment ability. This can be a cause for crashes. Do not attend to telephone calls while driving. If the call is urgent you need to pull out on the side of the road and attend the call. Some distraction on the road:

1. Adjusting the mirrors while driving
2. Stereo/radio in the vehicle
3. Animals on the road
4.Banners and billboards.

These things should not distract the driver and slow down to be safe from diversions and other types of external distractions.

Red light jumping:

It is a common sight to see vehicles crossing the road at road intersections ignoring the light. The main purpose of red light jumping is to save time. The common feeling is that stopping at a red signal is a waste of time and energy. Studies show that following traffic signals saves time and helps passengers reach their destination safely and on time. The red light jumper will not only endanger his life but also damage the safety of other road users. This action taken by one driver will prompt the other driver to try and eventually cause confusion at the crossing. This confusion at the intersection is a major cause of traffic jams. Eventually, everyone will be late to their destinations. It can also be seen that the red light jumper crosses the intersection at high speeds to prevent crashes and challans, but this impairs the ability to ensure continued traffic‌ and crashes very often.

Avoid safety gears such as seat belts and helmets:

Seat belt use in four-wheelers

Seat belt use is now mandatory in four-wheelers and failure to wear a seat belt invites penalties, as is the case with helmets for two-wheelers. Wearing seat belts and helmets came into the law after studies proved that these two things reduce the severity of injury during accidents. Wearing seat belts and helmets doubles your chances of surviving a serious accident. Safety gear keeps you intact and safe in case of accidents. Two-wheeler deaths have been significantly reduced since helmet use became mandatory. Use safety gears of the specified standard and tie them properly for optimal safety.
Harmful effects of traffic on the environment

1. Safety 2. Noise 3. Land use 4. Air pollution 5. Deterioration of aesthetics

How different aspects of roads contribute to accidents:

Drivers: speeding, hives, breaking rules, failure to understand signs, fatigue, alcoholism.
Pedestrians: carelessness, illiteracy, crossing at wrong places moving on the carriageway, jaywalkers.
Passengers: projecting their body outside the vehicle, talking to drivers, getting on and off the vehicle from the wrong side of the road on footboards, catching a running bus, etc.
Vehicles: brakes or steering failure, tire burst, insufficient headlights, overloading, project loads.
Road conditions: potholes, damaged road, road-to-road merging, roads, diversions, illegal speed breakers.
Weather conditions: Fog, snow, heavy rainfall, windstorms, hailstorms.
Risk Prevention Measures:

Education and awareness about road safety
Strict enforcement of the law
Engineering:
(A) Vehicle design (b) Road infrastructure

Direct Consequences of Accidents:
1 death (death) 2. injury 3. property damage

So friends, the small mistake we make can affect the lives of a person or some of the people who depend on him, no matter how lost they are. When we go out, we have to take care of the photo of the parents, the photo of our children and the faces of the wife or the husband or the friends.
